Is PR right for your golf business?

With so many marketing choices available, you need to ask question of yourself – “Is PR right for your golf business?”
So, I thought I would share a simple case study that will hopefully add some value to when it comes to making a decision about how to best promote your golf products and services.
Last week we achieved some significant PR coverage for one of our clients -Fore Business.

Golf Monthly published an article about Fore Business:

is pr right for your golf business
There was also some fantastic coverage in the article for the guys at InterviewPeopleOnline.com – who are of course Fore Business members/customers.

The second piece of coverage was on Golf Shake

What’s really important to note about these two pieces of coverage is the audience reach – that is to say, the potential for golfers and other golf based businesses to see these articles and then follow up with Fore Business.

Golf Shake publish the following stats:

–  125,000 registered members
–  250,000 visitors per month
–  1 million+ monthly page impressions

Golf Monthly publish similar data about their website:

–  289,000 unique visitors per month
–  1.4 million+ monthly page impressions

Based on advertising rate card costs, you could estimate a conservative figure of around £560 ($750) of advertising value, this month – that’s a marketing ROI of 3:1 (so far). But as both articles are published online, they will be around for a long time, providing additional views every month and of course, with the links back to the Fore Business website, additional SEO benefits.
